 PRIVACY AGREEMENT

 

At Piramal Group (hereinafter referred to as “Piramal”), we place a strong belief in sharing close ties with our people. Our advanced recruitment process ensures a strategic as well as cultural fitment between a prospective employee and us.

You are advised to carefully read these Terms of Use and Privacy Notice before using this website.

 

YOUR CONSENT


By completing this online form, you hereby agree and provide your voluntary consent to
Piramal and its related and/or affiliated companies, including but not limited to, its affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, joint ventures, authorized agents, consultants, customers, representatives, wherever they may be located. If you do not agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data in the way mentioned within this online form, please do not use the Piramal website or otherwise provide the relevant Piramal company with your personal data. Your provision of personal data in connection with recruiting is voluntary, and you determine the extent of information you provide to Piramal; you acknowledge that if you decide not to provide information, it may affect our ability to consider your candidature for employment or your candidature for the internal job applied for.
 

WHY WE CAPTURE YOUR PERSONAL DATA


The data, information and documents you provide and any other personal data (including but not limited to name, address, e-mail address, user name, telephone number, age, date of birth, gender, education qualifications, household information, posts and other content you submit to our sites, sensitive information such as information relating to your health life) obtained about you during the recruitment process may be held, processed and disclosed in accordance with applicable laws for purposes of:

  1. Evaluating and processing your candidature (including assessing your skills, qualifications and interests for career opportunities);
  2. Human resource analysis;
  3. Verifying your information and conducting reference checks/ background checks;
  4. Improving our recruitment process; and
  5. Compliance with any applicable procedures, laws and regulations.
 

If you are hired, the information may be used in connection with employment and corporate management. In addition, Piramal’ s websites may use cookies and other electronic communication protocols.

We provide you with reasonable access to view and review your personal data and request correction and deletion where appropriate.  In order to protect your privacy, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to your personal data in order to protect your privacy.


WHO CAN ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA


At Piramal, a global recruiting team accesses the data. Piramal may share your personal data within Piramal Group companies, service providers and other trusted third parties based outside the country in which you live so that they may process that data on our behalf as necessary, in connection with recruiting, employment, corporate governance, acquisitions and legal or regulatory requirements. Piramal ensures that its service providers and such other third parties keep your personal data confidential and that they only use the personal data in furtherance of the specific purpose for which it was disclosed.

 

We may share your personal data with:

 
  1. law enforcement or government authorities where they have followed due legal process to request us to disclose the information
  2. third party providers of services, if you have any queries about our third party service providers, then you may contact our Data Protection Officer (contact details included in the later part of this notice)
  3. web analytics tool providers, if you have any queries about our web analytics tool providers, then you may contact our Data Protection Officer. 

TRANSFERRING YOUR PERSONAL DATA


We may transfer your personal data to servers located outside the country in which you live or to affiliates or other trusted third parties based in other countries so that they may process personal data on our behalf. By using a Piramal website or otherwise providing Piramal with personal data, you agree to us doing so in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Notice and applicable data protection laws and regulations. Piramal will ensure to a reasonable extent that anyone processing your personal data outside your country of origin is required to implement measures to protect it and is only entitled to process it in accordance with Piramal’s instructions.

Many countries do not afford the same legal protection to personal data as you might enjoy in your country of origin. While your personal data is in another country, it may be accessed by the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in that country in accordance with its laws.


RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA


You are responsible for providing Piramal with accurate and complete personal data. Please notify us of any changes to your personal data. Piramal shall take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is kept accurate, complete, and current.

The purpose of retaining your information is to offer you suitable opportunities for employment within the Piramal Group. If you do not wish to allow Piramal Group to process your personal data for recruiting purposes, this may limit our ability to notify you of future employment opportunities at the Group befitting your role.

We will retain your personal data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.


SAFEGUARDING YOUR PERSONAL DATA


We take all reasonable precautions to keep your personal data secure and require any third parties that handle or process your personal data for us to do the same. Access to your personal data is restricted to prevent unauthorised access, modification or misuse and is only permitted among our employees and agents on a need-to-know basis.


YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND WHO TO CONTACT


If you have any questions, comments or concerns about how we handle your personal data, then you may contact our Data Protection Officer.  

 

You have the right to tell us if you:

  1. don't want to be contacted in the future by us
  2. would like a copy of the personal data which we hold about you
  3. would like us to correct, update, or delete your personal data in our records
  4. wish to report any misuse of your personal data

To assist us in dealing with your request, please provide your full name and details.


CHANGES TO OUR TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY AGREEMENT


We may change our Terms of Use and Privacy Agreement from time to time and post the updated version of the same. We encourage you to visit frequently to stay informed about how we use your personal data.

 

You do hereby:

  1. Verify that the information, data and documents provided by you for your
    candidature are true and genuine to the best of your knowledge and belief.
  2. Assure and agree that you shall keep all the information, details and discussions
    that you have during your recruitment process confidential and shall not disclose the same to any third party/parties.
Any misrepresentation or false statements made by you in your online application may be sufficient cause for:
  1. Disqualification from consideration for employment with Piramal; or
  2. Termination from employment should such relevant misrepresentation or false
    statement, affect the basis of the employment relationship, as permitted by law.
